Upon hearing about the site familiarly known as “Call Me Snake,” a friend (and now maybe a former friend) once asked me, “Is it true what they say–that when a writer starts blogging, that means he’s pretty much washed up?” I paused for a second to think about it and then replied: “Yes.”

Geez, since I never had any success to begin with, I guess my blog makes me a washed up wash up.
You’re being too hard on yourself with that "washed up wash up" bit. I don’t think anyone would think you’re overstating things to simply call yourself, as I did myself, a "washed up writer." But there may be hope, as we’ll soon see in an upcoming post…
