THE GREAT OCTOBERFEST BLOGGING BUMPER STICKER SWEEPSTAKES ——– by Steve Nadis
You know I’m getting desperate (for material, fame, or even just a little attention) when I have to resort to the Monthly Blogging Bumper Sticker Sweepstakes, but a new month is upon us and so is another sweepstakes. Any entry, of course, is welcome. However, for those who need a little prodding, I can suggest a format you might use along the following lines: I’m a genius! I can blog and ____ at the same time. Here are a few examples:
I’m a genius! I can blog and chew gum at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and watch TV at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and sleep at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and have a heartfelt conversation with you at the same time.
Please do not feel constrained by this suggestion. Surprise me, and more importantly yourself, with your own creativity. I know you can do it. After all, you’re a genius!

That’s great and it somehow seems fitting for you–being a doctor who doesn’t quite own up to being a doctor.
All of the following statements are true, just please don’t tell my boss:
I’m a genius! I can blog and monitor my company’s entire computer network at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and troubleshoot server problems at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and install software on PC’s at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and perform routine maintenance on user’s desktops at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and cook at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and do the laundry at the same time.
I’m a genius! I can blog and play with my cat at the same time.
I was going to leave that last one out because it can be interpreted a couple of different ways but then I thought that maybe that’s the edge I need to win. So I’m leaving it in and you can think whatever you want. I’m a genius!

This is excellent — & possibly ironic. Without tipping my hand, I can say it’s likely to win a prize, assuming I can come up with an appropriate category.

I have a habit of satrting projects way too late, when the inspiration has a lot more energy than the mind and body. but I did it again…this time it was “I started that e-blog thing months ago, and dammit..i have to get my paintings up and public so I can sell and get famous.” (I already fear after reading your items on Blog-mind-time-waste articles that I ought to just paint instead of starting a blog!
But Bill said, “you really ought to see Steve Nadis’s Blog.” So here I have sat for quite some time reading about life in cambridge, stealing kids lunch money, politics, living in cambridge, the universe and lost Moonshine (amongst many other things. I cannot name them all…) I have had such fun..but back to my intent here…I want a nice looking blog like yours. the width of the white space would hold two paintings side by side so ALL MY READERS and VIEWERS would not have to scroll so much…mine looks like shit and I am stuck. I do not have the patience to do all the CSS, html stuff…just want to upload pics and get going! Yours is easy to navigate and read. Suggestions?
