PATRIOTS TO THE END — by Steve Nadis
My team, the New England Patriots, stumbled last night in Denver, ending their string of 10 straight playoff victories. It was disappointing to watch, but the Patriots still went out like, well like Patriots. Despite several big errors and one crucial bad call by the officials, they still kept battling back. Until, of course, time ran out on the season and their dreams (and mine) of a third straight Super Bowl.
So I too can reclaim my life once again, going back to all the things I do in the off season, which, as best I recall, consists of killing time until the fall returns and a new football season is upon us. Don’t despair: We can and will get through this.

At least your Patriots made the playoffs Snake…..my beloved Packers only won 4 games this year. We won’t see the playoffs again until 2015 or so.
I feel yer pain, Doc. In fact, last night I watched the game w/two Packers fans. They seemed numb.
zardoz says:
dear snake sorry about the "PAT’S".
The point is there’s always next year.
and yesteryear , sippin somethin at ye old pub
and reminiscin play by play.
OF course were still steady , as long as we got our health, and money to pay the phone bill,
I just got freaked out by MR JON STEWARD comedy show
on C.N.N. He took the whole cake making humor with
MR CHENEY , and you put the topping on with yesterdays
humorus foot ailments.
Anyways got a flash with global social injustices
and thought if we overdo it with humor,
maybe
we forget that these people are doing criminal acts against the world and their own nation
…its been tried before,,, what holocaust ? what armenian genocide? who did the phom phenm red army
kill ? soltzenitzin was who?…..
its difficult to see Hitlers-EVAMARIE BRAUNS love story positive,,,
and now mr BUSH is pushing mr AMELITO
for the highest court of the land , was watching the senate hearings ,,he talked jibberish , am i stupid
or did the man say nothing at all .
Is he going to get okeyd because his wife put up
a good cry,,?
if they get him nominated it seems
he will give mrBUSH and others the law of the land
so these people will be having allthe power of the U.S. EXECUTIVE ,JUDICIAL,and so on…
SO what will be left …..
How did the CHIGAGO BEARS do this year..?

Hey, I’m in Oklahoma. Who am I supposed to root for?
Dallas? No Way Ever!
I used to live in Denver and we had Elway and back-to-back Superbowl rings and the newly acquired (stolen) Avalanche got the Stanley Cup.
Hard to follow an act like that…

How did I miss this game? I thought the Pats were a shoo-in? Damn, now I have to read the paper to know who is going to be in the Super Bowl. Hey, how far is Boston College from you?
Hey Windfall — I thought they’d make it to the Super Bowl too; I guess I thought wrong. It’s not too far to BC–just across the river and down a piece… Hi Amber–I’m not sure who you should root for. How about the New Orleans Hornets who know play in OKC? Hello Z — The Chicago Bears are still in it but play later today (or tonight?) so we’ll see how my former team does. You’re right about the humor & Cheney&Bush&all them. If we laugh too hard, we might forget how awful they really are.
Football? I thought this blog was about volleyball. This is why I don’t follow sports. It’s just too confusing.
Hi Roses — It IS a volleyball blog. The trouble is, I’m easily distracted.
