THE HIGH AND THE LOW — by Steve Nadis

When I was in my 20s and early 30s, I used to throw big parties with a group of guys, one of whom is arguing a case before the U.S. Supreme Court today on global warming. I mention it because it shows how far this guy has gone–and how high his star has risen–since our youthful party days. And here I am, by contrast, at home, rather than in our nation’s capital, still eager to go to those parties, if only I got invited.

  1. Marco Polo says:

From what a sister said, the High Court hasn’t been too impressed w/ the Mass. lawyers’ arguements yet. (But then maybe the U.S. Supreme Court doesn’t really have juristiction over the entire planet’s atmosphere anyhow.)

I don’t know how the state’s argument stacked up. But thanks if you were trying to make me feel better.

  3. Turd Blossom says:

If I ever threw a party, I would definitely invite you.

  4. Snake says:

Thanks, that sorta helps. (By the way, does “sorta” take an apostrophe?)

  5. Marco Polo says:

Wasn’t tryin’ to make ya feel ANY particular way. (?)
1st line was news as reported from TV news, via my sis, & 2nd was that I figure no matter how the Court decides, it won’t make a tinker’s damn when it comes to the highly out-of-whack CO2 levels, unprecedented in atLEAST 650,000 years! Now THAT, my friends, is a disaster in the making.
“Global Wierding”. Yeah, I like that term [used by the Rocky Mtn. Institute].

    Thanks for clarifying MP.
