“KIND OF A NEGATIVE…” — by Steve Nadis
I saw the President last night on the TV news, talking about war, Iran, the economy, etc. He was as inarticulate as usual and came off, again per usual, as amazingly dimwitted. When asked whether he hadn’t received enough credit for the economy, he said in his typical fumbling manner: “Well, you see, our nation is at war. And war is, uh, well, it’s a negative…” And there you have it from the highest authority. Who needs Tolstoy to expound on war and peace when we have our own, in-House poet/philosopher?

The real question is, does this President believe two negatives make a positive? If so, we’re going to be at war with Iran before the year is out.
I think maybe he’s obsessing on the war? He needs to take his dawgs out for a run on the TX prairie. (And let Cheney know he’s NOT invited!)
Our ecomomy is cruizing along on borrowed oil money. Won’t be very rosy #s when that bill comes due.
Though 2 ‘-’s might not make a +, GM, I suspect we’ll be giving hints & looking the other way when Israel bombs the enrichment centrifuges in, oh, April or so. (Jerusalem IS within range of the Tehranian launchers.
He is so deep, isn’t he?
I didn’t know that anyone was allowed to question the wisdom of “The Decider”! Seriously, how many more days until the end of his term?
Good points, everyone. I’m especially worried about the issue Gatemouth raised. That’s been on my mind for awhile now, and it’s a horrifying prospect. I kept comforting myself by saying, nah, he couldn’t. But now I think Bush is crazy enough to try it.
