A SOBERING VIEW FROM THE “MAN ON THE STREET”– by Steve Nadis
My plumber who (this being Cambridge) likes to keep abreast of science let me know that a book about string theory will not sell. Most people have never heard of string theory and if they have, they couldn’t tell you the first thing about it,” he said. “You can forget about ever getting on the New York Times bestseller list.”
“You may be right,” I replied. “In which case, you can forget about ever getting paid by me.”

Did he reply that in that case, you could (metaphorically) kiss your toilet goodbye?
Tell him, “You’re right. I’m workin’ on a handyman book now that should be hot. It’ll be titled ‘Home Plumbing For Beginners- Pipe repairs made easy’.” -Marco Polo
I like the idea, MP. If I paid attention to these comments, I’d have no shortage of bestsellers. As for you, TB, my plumber may be up on science but he’s not that quick.
I love the idea of string theory and I believe it is so. I also believe they delved into it in “What the Bleep.” I think you should write your book and update us here when you publish it. My husband and I would love to read it. Bless your heart. And bless all your plumbing needs, too. ~Eve
Thanks Eve. No one has ever blessed my plumbing needs before.
