CALL ME A SPOILSPORT — by Steve Nadis

Call me a spoilsport, call me a curmudgeon, but I’m not fond of the kind of speeches that Michele Obama delivered today. Obama’s wife says he’s quite the family man, and she’s in a position to know. But tell me again: Why is that supposed to be relevant?

    Granted, she didn’t know it at the time, but Sarah Palin is running a powerplay against her. Palin has hockey, apple pie and the American motor industry in her pockets. Michelle is trying to clutch on to the one piece of the other triumvirate she still has, Family–having divorced herself from Church and Country.
