THE NOISIEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN CAMBRIDGE? — by Steve Nadis

My neighborhood is the noisiest in Cambridge, based on statistics presented in the Cambridge Chronicle. Maybe it is, and maybe it isn’t. For I happen to know that one of my neighbor’s is extremely insensitive and intolerant about noise and she, singlehandedly, may have called the police every single one of those 500+ complaints in 2007. So maybe our neighborhood is the noisiest. If not, it is certainly the most noise intolerant.

Noisy???? I’ll give you noisy. My neighbor has 7 dogs. That’s SEVEN dogs. Who bark constantly. And the people make it worse by yelling at the dogs to stop barking. Or by yelling at each other for letting the dogs out to bark.

I gotta hand it to you, OR. That IS noisy. You’ve got my wimpy neighborhood beat. Good to hear from ya, by the way… S

The definition of ‘Riverside’ on that map is quite expansive, including large areas that I’d call part of Central Square or Harvard Square.

oooOH! STOP all the commotion about this, kids.
    Quiet DOWN. -M.P.

Good point, RN. It appears that Riverside might have pulled off a land grab in order to secure loudest neighborhood honors. And you raise a good point too, MP. I’d better keep it down here or my neighbor will start complaining again. -S

Hey, can you keep it down over there?!?!
