YET ANOTHER THING TO WORRY ABOUT — by Steve Nadis

Last night I watched the 1958 version of THE BLOB starring a young, and skinny, Steve McQueen. At the end of the movie we see the gelatinous, man-eating blob deposited somewhere near the North Pole. We’re safe, McQueen says, “so long as the Arctic stays cold.” Now (51 years later), with the North Pole melting, I’m  wondering whether we have yet another thing to be worried about–as if we didn’t have enough already.

So they’re lying about why polar bears are disappearing? They’re being eaten by The Blob and not starving to death due to a lack of ice?

Good point, OR. There’s more to this than meets the eye… S

I read a news item out of Canada, OR, describing record #s of floating white corpses. Great snacking, but I suspect the Blob sank to the ocean floor. Might explain the drop in marine life & sea level rise? ;-)
Letterman needs to try a piece on ‘Will It Float?’ to prove this theory. -M.P.
