Rick (Sanctimonious) Santorum has shown himself to be a legal scholar of the highest order. In a 45-minute oration (as reported this morning on NPR) he discovered a link between “Romneycare” and “Obamacare.” Not only is there a link between these conspiracies to provide healthcare to all Americans, Santorum concludes, the two are in fact indistinguishable. I’m still reeling from this revelation and had to take two Seconals to calm my nerves enough to write these few sentences. With his impressive detective work and keen powers of analysis, it appears (to this observer, at least) that the Rickster (not Trickster, as he is sometimes called) has put himself back in the game!
